St. Louis, July 22, 2014 — The NORDYNE R8HE ultra-high efficiency gas/electric packaged system has been recognized for excellent product design in the 11th annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News magazine. The Dealer Design Awards are determined by an independent panel of contractors, and the R8HE 92 product entries. The R8HE is a Silver Award Winner in the HVAC High-Efficiency Residential Equipment category.
“These awards give us a unique opportunity to recognize the outstanding research and development efforts that go into many of the products serving the HVACR industry and the awards issue gives our readers an opportunity to read about innovative installation and service solutions,” says Mike Murphy, News publisher.
The R8HE stands out because of its exceptionally high heating efficiency. Unlike other gas/electric packaged systems, this model is condensing. This operation allows the model to reach high heating efficiency levels – 95% AFUE. Condensate produced during the high-efficiency operation is pumped below the frost line – eliminating the concern that the condensate will freeze.
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 21, 2014 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed national to over 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals.
The R8HE gas/electric packaged system is available through the Broan, Frigidaire, Maytag, NuTone, Tappan and Westinghouse brands. For more information this prestigious award, contractor and distributors should visit www.achrnews.com.
